About the Chapter
Sisters in Service. Stewards of HerStory.
The Jacksonville Chapter of the National Association of Black Military Women is a community of veterans, active-duty service members, and allies committed to preserving a legacy too long overlooked.

Who We Are
A Jacksonville home for warriors who deserve to be seen.
Founded in 2026, the Jacksonville Chapter brings together African-American women from every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces — Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force, and the National Guard.
We meet in the heart of Northeast Florida — a region with a deep military tradition — to mentor, archive, advocate, and serve. Our members lead community programs, support fellow veterans navigating the VA, and ensure that young Black women entering service know they are part of a centuries-long legacy.
We are proud affiliates of the national NABMW organization and committed partners to the Jacksonville military community.
Our Mission
To seek out, record, maintain, and tell the history of African-American military women who served and serve in the United States Armed Forces.
Our Vision
A world where the contributions of Black military women are visible, celebrated, and woven permanently into the fabric of American history.
Our Values
Sisterhood, service, scholarship, and stewardship — guiding everything we do in our community and for our nation.
